PQA attorneys bring the same aggressive approach to litigating general and commercial disputes that we bring to our litigation of insurance and financial fraud claims. Our commercial litigation practice includes all manner of commercial contract disputes, suits over break-ups of professional firms and business corporations, challenges to and defense of covenants-not-to-compete, false advertising claims under the Lanham Act and litigation on behalf of both franchisers and franchisees.
As an outgrowth of our insurance and financial fraud practice, PQA has developed extensive experience in the area of asset recovery. In those circumstances where an individual or business entity has sought to conceal assets by shifting them to a spouse or other family member or affiliate, or by moving accounts offshore, the Firm asserts additional allegations pursuant to the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act (the “UFTA”). The UFTA offers a broad array of remedies, ranging from injunctive relief setting aside the fraudulent transactions to the appointment of a receiver to monitor other transactions during the pendency of the litigation.
