DENISE M. O’HARA was admitted to the New Jersey and Florida Bars in 1992, and the U. S. District Court, District of New Jersey and U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1993. She graduated with a B.A. degree in Political Science from The American University in 1989 and she received her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 1992. She has served as a congressional intern with the Office of former United States Senator Bill Bradley in Washington, D.C., and has also served as assistant legislative counsel for the National League of Cities in Washington, D.C.
Ms. O’Hara is a former assistant city attorney for the City’s Attorney Office in Hollywood, Florida, where she represented the municipality in negligence, employment, and civil rights litigation in state and federal courts. She has been associated with Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Munoz, P.A., where she engaged in extensive civil and criminal litigation, and with the Law Offices of Stephen E. Gertler, P.C., where she practiced in the areas of insurance fraud and insurance defense. Ms. O’Hara has also served as an Adjunct Instructor and Learning Assistant in the Legal Studies Department of Brookdale Community College. Ms. O’Hara is assigned to the Firm’s Insurance, Healthcare and Financial Fraud Litigation group and the General and Commercial Litigation and Asset Recovery group.
